Having visited on a number of occasions, unfortunately the service let’s it down every time. If it isn’t the wrong food, then one dish is cold and everyone at the table then suffers. Furthermore, the restaurant shows as fully booked online but is always half empty when we visit. The snooty front of house staff and those at head office (yes, you can’t even ring the restaurant directly) finish off the experience. Style over substance and recommend avoiding.

So delighted the IVY has come to Blackheath! Celebrating my fiancee's birthday, the only thing more beautiful than the restaurant and food was the birthday girl herself. Staff were excellent and put me to shame with the array of mustaches. Steak, Scallops and duck liver parfait go down a treat. As they say you pay for quality and the IVY did not disappoint at all. We cannot wait to try out the breakfast menu soon.

Only 4 stars as the service eating at the bar was not great. The Ivy Special GnTs and Queen Olives were exceptional, the salmon and smoked haddock fishcake very good indeed (but could have been a bit more generous size wise). Will definitely go back, but at a table next time!

Very 'swish,' some of my party were a little overcome by the opulence of The Ivy. Maybe not typical of the usual clientele expected to use this facility. Would be nice for a treat though. Staff were attentive, but not overly so. This visit was mid-morning, on a Wednesday. Food and presentation were both good.

Had a great evening at the new Ivy Cafe in Blackheath. After reading a bad review of the one in Tunbridge Wells I was hoping Blackheath would pull out all the stops, which they did. All of our table of four were very pleased with the standard of food and service. Eve, our waitress, gave us just the right amount of attention and was very knowledgeable about the dishes. A good selection on the menu so looking forward to going back to try other dishes. The apple fine tart was so good that we had to order another.
