  Very nice setting and friendly staff, and menu looked interesting but I was rather disappointed that the fish and chips we ordered had soggy batter.... If I am paying £12.99 for fish and chips hips I expect to at at. Least. Match the quality of my local chipped. Soggy batter results from putting the fish in before the oil is hot enough... A schoolboy error. The chicken sandwich my son ordered came on ordinary white sliced bread from a packet rather than from a nice crusty loaf..again I would have expected more for a £6.99 sandwich. So whilst it looked really great and service was excellent.. the kitchen let it down on this occasion.

  Met a mate for tea - stayed 2.5 hours. Had a 3 course meal plus (soft) drink and coffee for £28. Not bad. Lovely food. Eton Mess is highly recommended. Staff very friendly - even though they were stressed as tills weren't working. Free parking. Very close to A47 and only a few miles from Norwich City Centre

  Nice place inside and out. Booked a table for 5pm. We were seated, and after looking at the menu we waited. In the end my friend went to the bar ordered drinks, who was told all drinks and food had to be ordered at the bar. However, when she went to order she was left waiting as the member of staff was taking food and drinks orders from the tables around me! Really wasn't very clear if it was a bar order place or table service. Set menu of £14.95 for two course, both were nice. Service was slow, however we were checked on half way though our food. Over all, food was nice. Service....slow and confusing as all other tables had service whereas we did not and was told they didn't do that. I should point out that at no point were staff rude, all were polite and said sorry for how long we waited for our main when delervied.

  The food was delicious BUT the service was shocking!!! The staff were very friendly but badly managed. We ordered our desserts and drinks at the same time we received the desserts and finished them after 30 minutes and we still hadn't received any drinks. My husband asked four times where are drinks were the response was they were behind with the drinks orders. So we politely cancelled the drinks and asked for the bill. After paying minutes later were told they needed the table !!!! If we hadn't have cancelled the drinks we would have still been setting there for a lot longer than a few more minutes.!!!! This is not the first time we have experienced bad service. Its such a shame as the food is fantastic but to be honest it has put us off returning.

  Looks lively outside. Over heard in conversation they had sold out of many dishes by 7.30. Our starter arrived with without butter, our main without cutlery. They failed to ask us if we would like drinks with our main and when they took our plates they never asked us if we would like dessert. Staff need to brush up on their hospitality skills. Besides that food was very nice.
