  Brilliant place - should be cherished for what is! A still gaslit fantastically atmospheric pub!! Go visit while it still exists 😂

  Arrived yesterdays on spec because of the snow. I was immediately found a room at a very reasonable price. The New Beehive is an amazing building in a once highly industrialised part of Bradford. Although the surrounding area is made up of Victorian stone buildings many of which are sadly neglected the pub is in good order without being modernised and spoiled. In some ways the local architecture adds to the experience. Therefore it exudes character and you really get a feeling of being in Northern England at the start of the 20th century. The bars retain most maybe all of their original features including magnificent polished wooden bars and gas lighting. The lighting adds massively to the atmosphere of this special place. There is a log/coal fire and good cask ales. The olde worlde charm extends to the gents toilets, which still have proper ceramic urinals which I suspect may be original. The bedroom I was in was very spacious, clean and very satisfactorily appointed. The bathroom was obviously all new. I would have preferred the option of a bath but this wasnt a big negative point. All in all a very enjoyable stay, the owner is genuinely interested in the history of this pub and without him it is unlikely it would have survived in such an original firm. He is friendly and cares that you have everything you need. This really is a one off experience that I would recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in social history.

  A pub of great character. Probably one of a handful which still has gas-lighting. Usually a good selection of ales. Real fire for cold nights. Getting a bit tired in places but lovely all the same.

  Visited the New Beehive Inn with a group of friends for drinks. The Inn is an old traditional boozer that is gas lit and has a range of cask beers on offer. Not all the pumps were on when we visited but there was a pale and dark selection which were fine for our needs. Service was welcoming and friendly. The Inn is a short walk from the city centre and close to the Bradford Brewery Tap Room so it's a good idea to visit both.
