  Excellent Sunday lunch carvery, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food is reasonably priced but drinks are quite expensive.

  Very close to the train station, so a good place to relax before & after your journey. And with the hotel service if you're traveling. The Best part is the well talked about Sunday roast dinner, they offer "all-you-can-eat" too. With good range of wines, cocktails and bar service, restaurants & hotel.

  We recently stayed a night here, the pub has clearly stood for many years and while that shows in some areas of the pub which are a little tired I had a great stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and I found the laid back feel to the pub very refreshing. The price is also very reasonable amd includes a lovely cooked breakfast. Would recommend to others visiting Thirsk.
