  Oh man... What a hotel... It is magical, the rooms are beautiful clean and cozy - you don't want to leave... Specially not for a working day... Breakfast is awesome. I eat only kosher food but found many things I can eat there.. they serve the boiled eggs with a pair of little sweater so it want get cold 😆😆 Location is perfect - 5 min walking from the center street of Edinburgh and a couple more from the castle. Staff is also very helpful - ask them for a recommendation in regard to placez to visit and restaurants.

  Easy to find and not too far from the train station. First impression as you enter the hotel is great, very well presented and amply staffed by friendly and helpful employees. We stayed in the suite and the room was amazing, high ceilings with glass roof and remote blinds- very impressive! Breakfast was wonderful, lots of choice and once again the staff go out of their way to ensure everything is as you could wish.

  Great location in the heart of Edinburgh. Recently renovated and the bars and event venue space is great. Very well laid out and catered. Recently attended a wedding and the hotel staff were really good. Cash and card at the bars, and there are plenty of bars each serving a good range of drinks, with helpful bar tenders who can make great cocktails.

  We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Principal Hotel in Edinburgh. We found the staff to be very friendly from the moment we arrived and they had good knowledge of Edinburgh. The Hotel was Well designed and very clean and tidy. Our room was very comfortable and again very clean. The Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the castle, so location was excellent.

  Excellent hotel in a great location. Read some of the negative reviews posted here, but we did not experience any of those problems. The front desk was always friendly and extremely helpful. We arrived very early, but the staff worked quickly to get us into our room. Breakfast in the Atrium Garden was delicious and speedy. No noise issues with our room (we had a room facing Charlotte Square). Excellent boutique hotel.
