  In contrast to the comments below I’ve found the staff at the pop in centre very helpful when I swallowed my pride and went in last week. The only issue I have are the opening hrs for someone like me whose working mon-fri it’s impossible for me to come in unless I have a day off an occasional Saturday morning opening might be an idea say once a month.

  In response to the review by Keri Jones I am very sorry that you felt you did not have a very good experience at The Royal British Legion Pop-In Birmingham last week. I do hope that you will give us another opportunity in the future to make sure you receive a better response. We are primarily an advice and information centre providing the help and support to our service and ex-service community. We do now offer a small selection of retail goods from the Legion's Poppy Shop but this is a very new opportunity for us. Those working in the Pop-In centre are volunteers many of whom are ex-service and we give them the opportunity to interact with the general public as many have struggled in their civystreet life.

  Went in this morning trying to do a good turn buying charity Xmas Cards. Met be rather large member of staff (ginger ish goatee beard) Most abrupt gentleman you could ever wish to meet. If Charities have staff like this I will just purchase from private sector in the future!
