::Went for a steak night on a Wed night good service, steaks my wife and i had were spot on, a bottle of wine, a very nice meal. We had a nice table for the two of us and the waiting on staff were polite and helpful without being overbearing, a nice experience.

::Went to a pre-booked Sunday lunch at the Brasserie yesterday 25/2/18. Our party was 4 in total. The main reason for the booking was to give my elderly parents the opportunity to celebrate my 50th up and coming birthday. I pre-booked and paid for a bottle of Pinot Grigio to be on the table and chilled for our arrival. This did not happen and was the first of many issues whilst there for the duration of our visit. Having asked for bottle again plus another drinks order the bottle arrived however the other drinks order didnt. We waited 15 mins for the pint of lager to which never came. So we had to chase that. We then became very aware of a very noisy party of about 10 young ladies (thats being kind to them I assure you) to the rear of us in a small alcove of a few tables who did nothing but scream and shout throughout the whole meal. Even the odd glance over to their table did not give them the notion they were being too loud. If it did then they took absolutely no notice. We complained several times to the staff about the noise however they did nothing about it. Even the table of 2 adjacent to us were forced to interrupt their meal and move elsewhere. We were resigned to the fact that we would have to put up with this noisy, selfish, self absorbed, disrespectful, discourteous rabble of young women (about 20 years) whom had no thought of anyone other than themselves. We ordered our meals which were wrong on coming out. This had to be rectified. Again something else which went wrong. As time went on and as the "ladies" were drinking more, the louder they got. I literally couldnt have a conversation between ourselves as they were far too loud. My father, slightly hard of hearing, could not join in any conversation as he heard nothing but loud noise. Very upsetting when this is the only opportunity I had to meet/dine with my parents (which I dont do often). Totally spoilt by a this rabble of selfish 20 years olds. We ate and asked for the bill as soon as we possibly could. The bill came with the bottle of wine I had already paid for on it. This had to be pointed out and rectified As we stood up and put our coats on the group went quiet for the 1st time since we had been there. So I said to the "ladies" ..."Dont stop now, you've been loud all day and evening without any consideration to any other diners". To that, something I was expecting due to their clear attitudes, the most gobby one said " Were you never young" and directed that comment to my elderly mother. Disgusting behaviour. Throughout the whole experience at no point did the staff/manager intervene. Wont be going there again and neither will my parents/family/friends

::Booked for a Sunday roast as the Swan is always very busy / popular, the food was fantastic and the service matched as I am quite fussy. The staff, went above and beyond when I ordered something not on the menu. Very reasonably priced too

::A pleasant welcome and shown straight to our table. The decor was good and were not cramped together. The initial service was very good but between courses the delay increased to the point where a table that arrived 30 minutes after us was receiving their sweet at the same time as us. Great if you want to spend a while in a restraunt to talk, so this was not a big deal to us. On a positive the food was well cooked and tasted lovely and decent wine was served. Overall we would return for a meal in the future.

::Great atmosphere and brilliant staff. We did have an issue but they went out of their way to rectify the situation and ensure we left happy.
