  Great location in Cardiff Gate with easy access from the M4 and A48. There is plentiful parking space outside, but a little confusing with whether you need to pay for the pay and display. Prices are very good for the amount of food you can have, but that’s all the positives. Negatives... firstly Carvers are very poor and inconsistent, the last few times I’ve been with my family has raised a few eye brows. Secondly, they are very slow with the bills and expect to wait a while to pay. Update - This branch has been recently refurbished much more brighter and modern

  Just had an enjoyable breakfast but unfortunately only 2 out of the 4 of us were able to have what we wanted and then we were told there was no more bacon. I heard several people asking for refunds. Such a shame as the new decor was really modern and it has a welcoming feeling.

  This is a pub which also sells food. The main fare is the carvery. This is fine as long as you don't visit between 12.30 and 2.00 as the queue gets really long and there is only one guy slicing the meat!!! They need to have two staff helping plating the meat, as there are usually four types, turkey, beef, pork and ham!!! Otherwise the food is nice. If u don't want the carvery you can order from the menu.

  I haven't been to this carvery for a while and was surprised how quiet it was there as in the past it was really busy on a Friday night. It did start to get a bit busier later on. As usual I really enjoyed my food although the stuffing seemed to have been on display a long time as it was very hard. Yet again the staff seemed to go the extra mile to make sure your visit is a pleasant one they are so friendly and helpful. Well done to them.

  This place is a bit of a family favourite. We've eaten here many times both casually and for family events. The service is always excellent. The food is great and self service so even picky eaters can be pleased. Nice atmosphere and rarely any wait.
