::Had an apprentice do my hair. Was expecting to be there for 1.5 hour with her training but ended up staying for 4 hours! Because she was talking to her mates. Safe to say I was exhausted for work the next day.

::first time in the Leeds branch, friendly polite staff, easy to make booking. hairdresser also nice. however, a few 'technical' things (hopefully constructive too!), can't not compare with the service I experienced in London with the same chain in different branches. upon consultation, I just wanted my previous cut 'reconstructed', indicated the length, explained in detail that I wanted more heavy layers towards the bottom as to add 'body'. I was perfectly audible, he agreed with me, but did not make any input himself, even when prompted as to what he thought. in London the stylists often suggested themselves what subtleties would suit me best. here, the result was not as I described initially. it's fine, a 'textbook' cut. 'body' was not kept to the bottom but towards the top, layers are kind of 'hacked', whereas before they were much more subtle. like now if I run my hand through I can see the chopped layers. the layering step was done towards the end of the session on blow-dried hair (as he had suggested and I said fine), there is no way I could have stopped or directed him, since I cannot see the back of my own head. at the end he did not offer me a mirror to see the back, which again seems standard practice. I was in and out in 25 minutes, whereas previously it took at least 40 (same hair length/complexity, no treatments, literally the same thing I get done). I understand that it's the end of the day, human factor and all.. fine overall. I would not have made this comment if I had my 'own regular' hairdresser back in the London branch(es), it was by chance.. but I had a very similar positive experience. from this I got the impression that Toni&Guy has a more 'stylist' and less 'textbook' philosophy :)

::Have been going to Tony & Guy for more than 18 years and tried this branch, I found the manager & staff very friendly and pleasant and the stylist listened to what I wanted and made honest suggestions. I have had colours and always been happy recently I decided to go Au natural and was happy with the finished result, no pushing me to buy anything just a good service, and I will be back again very soon.

::I went to this salon for a while and i had a stylist called Maria. Who was undeniably an excellent hairdresser. But she was incredibly bitchy and spent alot of the time making passive aggressive catty remarks, Which were unacceptable. She asked my if i died my hair to cover greys when i dont have a single grey hair on my head. I am too young and not only that i am a redhead and redheads do not go grey they go white. And its rude She also criticizes other hairdresser and makes personal remarks about choices you make for her her. She is a short woman of plain frumpy appearance surrounded by young nice looking girls and maybe needs to be bitchy to feel better about herself. She is excellent at her job but her lack of manners and social unawareness and just plain catty remarks means i would never return to this Salon.
