::Basic but clean. We stayed for two nights while visiting family nearby. We had a twin bedded room on the ground floor. We were at the far end of a corridor overlooking a nearby rugby playing field. It was quiet at night. The bathroom was clean with sink, toilet and showe cubicle. All were very clean on arrival. Two sets of towels are provided but no shower mat to step onto. This was really needed as when in use, water from the shower dripped onto the floor as the curtain was a little too short. In the end, we used a hand towel. There are tea/coffee facilities and a TV in the roombut no telephone or hairdryer. Personal storage is quite limited. An open wardrobe with two short rails and two shallow drawers under the dressing table that has the TV and kettle on it. We kept our day clothes in our travel bag. The hotel is adjacent to a Toby carvery. We had our breakfasts there both mornings of our stay. An all you can eat cooked breakfast with tea or coffee costs under £7/head and was surprisingly good with two types of home made potato hash available as well as all the usual sausage, bacon, egg etc. Bizarrely though, no cereals are provided. I think you can buy a cereal pack directly from the hotel but what we saw did not look appealing. The hotel and carvery are situated just off a junction with the A470. To the north outskirts of Cardiff. Just a short drive from the M4. We would certainly have no hesitation in staying there again. Its clean and quiet and the staff are very friendly. Its not as plush as say, Premier Inn's but for us, its more convenient.

::As always a clean and pleasurable stay. Used this Travelodge several times now. Polite helpful staff

::Carvery was good and well stocked. Cheap drinks and food. Friendly attentive staff.

::The decor is very nice. The food also good. What isnt is that there is one chef behind the hotplate leaving the carving area to get freshly cooked veg. This has an effect of long queues.

::An excellent lodge to stay at. Very well situated just outside Cardiff City Centre which is a short bus ride away. One of the cleanest lodges I have stayed at, the staff are both professional and friendly. There is a Toby carvery attached, but, many dining options are available within walking distance.
