  Stayed for one night on a family trip. The room was very nice and the bed very comfy. The breakfast was lovely too

  Lack of storage in room just a few hangers on a rail. Noise is an issue through walls from room next door. Reception and bar modern nicely decorated. Friendly reception staff. Good points luggage storage if rooms not ready

  The best part was the bed. Wasn't too hard like most hotels. Room had been redone recently so had a funny smell. Breakfast was really good there! Highly recommend if you are staying there. If you need to check in early they make you carry your stuff up maybe 8 steps to a room and put it with others luggage. No cameras in luggage room so didn't feel safe leaving my stuff there.

  Great location. Great staff. We visited during the renovation but it didn't really effect us apart from when we were in reception. Rooms were lovely and fresh. Location was great for York city

  Staff were excellent, particularly Charlotte. Nothing was too much trouble, and she went above and beyond what we expected. She made us feel at home and well looked after. Shower as fabulous, but bathroom sink could do with a rethink for the shape as when you turned the tap on it either went in the sink and everywhere or everywhere but the sink. Food was to be expected for breakfast, and staff on new years day were under a lot of pressure due to multiple people coming down to breakfast and expecting fresh stuff to be made instantly just for them. Would definitely stay there again.
