Worked here for 2 years and it was the worst time of my life..... Managers are bullies who would threaten their staff on a daily basis with their jobs and in some cases offer staff members outside for a fight.... (how professional) there is a lack of organisation between them they can’t even sort out a rota or find the motivation to get off their backsides to help their staff on the shop floor, I have seen multiple good staff members leave because of these two managers and it seems nothing is being done about it.

Completely inflexible customer service. Wife went to view a bike Tuesday, confirmed it was in stock, but ummed and arred about getting it. In the evening, decided to get it so ordered it on website (needed it by Friday) website said 1-2 days, great. I had email to say it would be delivered Friday. I phoned up to see if I could pick it up instead, that's when the fun started.... First person was very nice, said it should be fine, but said he'd phone back within 5 mins to confirm. He phoned back, said actually due to Bank holiday I couldn't get it till Tuesday, but as store had stock anyway, just phone them up and they'll let me pick it up. Phoned store "I've been working here 4 years, they shouldn't have told you that, we can't possibly do that". Phoned warehouse again, they confirmed Tuesday was the earliest... Then had to run to meeting, so started online chat with them..... Just got more unbelievable. "Can't possibly get bike the 17 mins drive to store before Tuesday" "you can't possibly pick it up from Fforestfach" "it's not possible to use the stores stock of exactly the same bike, because it's a different stock system". Gave the chat a negative rating, with a comment specifically saying "it's not xxxxx's fault, however...." And person messaged me back informing me that this negative rating will reflect on him, like it was my fault. Later in the day started another chat to cancel order (as I said, needed it by Friday) and was given the same story again and how I needed to take into account the bank holiday (even though the store is open Friday, Saturday and Monday) despite the website telling me 1-2 days when I ordered. I then had a phonecall from original person I spoke to saying he'd just received order cancellation notice, and how he was surprised the store wouldn't just let me pick up bike from there... Shocking customer service, shocking inflexibility from a smaller company. I'll stick to Amazon / decathlon in the future, they may be massive multinationals, but go above and beyond in terms of customer service, rather than making me feel like an inconvenience who just couldn't possibly understand their backend systems (like that's any of my concern). Real shame, have used Tredz a lot in the past, have 3 young kids so buy new bikes surprisingly regularly, me and my wife just getting into cycling, would have loved to support a local business in the future, but not a chance now. UPDATE: Follow up on this has been excellent to be fair, staff have been apologetic and friendly and went out of their way to help.

I never normally complain even if something isn't right, but it shouldn't take a month to send me two damn tyres! 2 and a half weeks in my order was processed, and then a week and a half later they turned up! I'm not bothered about the tyres as such but even an email to keep me updated would have been cool. Won't be ordering anything else in a hurry, Other than that the tyres were as ordered.

I must say, Tredz service and price had been faultless in my last 3 orders. I have definitely dropped ChainReaction.

Picked up my new 2018 Giant Propel disc road bike from Cardiff last weekend ready for my IronMan Wales training. Absolutely chuffed with not only the bike, but the great service from the extremely helpful and experienced staff! Wouldn’t get a bike from anywhere else!
