  I bought a groupon deal for 6 sessions of IPL priced at £29. I was unsure whether to purchase the deal as I was leaving the country to go travelling in 12 weeks but was reassured that I would get 4 or 5 in before I went, which would be enough to see a difference. Firstly, when I went to the salon I was told to pay £40 as the deal was wrong on groupon. I didn’t mind too much as it was still a cheap deal. For the actual sessions I wasn’t filled with confidence (for the second session the woman said that she had forgotten I was coming in). The following weeks followed very poor communication between myself and the salon and left me having only 2 sessions 1 week before I was due to leave the country. I then emailed Kerry and requested some money back as I hadn’t had the number of treatments I had expected when purchasing the deal. Rather than simply say ‘no we cannot give you a refund’ she lectured me about the cost of the IPL machine and the cost to pay the staff and how they would lose money if they gave me some money back. I failed to understand this logic as paying £20 for 3 treatments (if given a £20 refund) is the same as paying £40 for 6 treatments. Therefore, if they lose money on 3 treatments at £20 then they shouldn’t be offering a deal of 6 treatments at £40, it’s just not good for the business! Every time I was in the salon, I was there for less than 5 minutes, so was hardly a great cost time-wise. Long story short I wouldn’t visit again, their manner and patronising tone over email bothered me more than paying for a pointless service.

  My sister and I had never been to this Salon before we were using a Groupon Voucher, is previous times we have purchased a voucher are experiences have not been at all good however today was fantastic. We were greeted and introduced to staff in the most professional way, throughout the treatment the staff chatted and were really friendly always asking were we ok did we want drinks. Myself and my sister were really happy with are cut, colour and blow dry. I have booked to go there again next week, when we left we felt relaxed happy and as if we had used this salon for many years. Thank you for a fabulous experience 😊😊😊

  I Contacted the Salon about booking myself and two bridesmaids for hair. I was quoted £100 which was extremely reasonable. As we were contacting by email I agreed to pay a 20% deposit £20. I advised the salon manager Kerry of the date but no time was agreed. I then paid another £40 a month or so later with an outstanding left of £40. When going for a hair cut the other week with another stylist I showed her the style I wanted but she didn't seem to confident when talking to me about this and said to buy hair extensions for the trail. I booked the trial after the appointment but walked away disheartened that this might not be something they can do. On talking to my cousin her friend at Kathryn Kavanaghs (David) said he would do my hair and fit around my schedule and gave me an amazing quote. I contacted the Salon to cancel the booking and asked for the return of my £40 as they could keep the deposit of £20 which was agreed in the email as all our contact was by email it is all documented. This was refused by the manager saying about her cancellation policy which I have never read, never signed to give my consent or agreed too. Plus deposits are none refundable which I agreed 20% £20 but instead she wanted to keep the entire £60. Our last email was 5/5/16 and I have tried to call into the salon when I finish work at 4pm but it is always closed despite what it says on the opening times. I would encourage anyone to seek other Salons in future, on talking to other friends who have friends in the hairdressing industry it is apparently renowned for bad service and reviews. I have emailed the manager again today but very doubtful I will ever see my money again and want to make people aware so they don't make the same mistake I did.

  I visited Unique Hair Lounge for the first time for a dry cut. The staff where very accommodating, fitting me in at short notice. My second visit was with an on line voucher. I have personally found, a lot of salons who offer these discounted vouchers treat you like a second class citizen and do a Half hearted Job. Not Unique!!! I was was treated really well, I felt welcome and was treated brilliantly. I felt like an old client not a new one. I was really happy in the way they cut my hair and my colour (advised by them) was beautiful. I know I will make this my regular Hairdressers. Thank you ladies for a great experience. In fact already booked in for my next appointment..

  I had a very good consultation, re-style ,colour, treatment and service. So much so that I treated a couple of my dear friends to a well earned Christmas present who were also very happy. I suspect the last person who wrote a review had not taken off her own coat, as is usual.I would give 4 stars out of 5 as it was rather cold in the salon. I will be going back when the weather is warmer, and after all, in today's economic climate, businesses are striving to keep going. The Salon was very clean and well kitted out, unlike some (by no means all) in the area where you felt like you were sitting in someones back room.
