  Very friendly staff. Had a couple of horses outside with us. The horses spooked but the staff were very friendly and supportive making the situation as painless as possible. 100% recommend

  Absolutely fantastic! Very well decorated, classic pub with amazing staff, great service and one of the best pies I've ever eaten. I had birthday celebrations here and it was wonderful. Completely recommended! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

  Very poor! All of the vegetables, including roast potatoes, seemed like they were cooked from frozen. In addition I advised the Landlady that the light leading to the Gents toilet wasn’t working, and that the only male toilet was not flushing and therefore out of action. Her response was that she knew about both and will get it fixed next week. This was during a full Sunday Carvery service and there was no notice that it was out of order. The only alternative was the disabled toilet, which was beyond the female toilet entrance. Duty of care to those dining there surely must require the facility to use a lavatory. Overall I wouldn’t recommend and will not be returning.

  Good pub, nice interior decor and traditional pub feel to it. The atmosphere is very warm. Bar staff are very warm and welcoming. I had a Sunday roast there and it was very tasty. But generally the food menu is decent, not too big, has a few specials as well. Drink choice is good.

  Had Christmas meal here tonight. Fantastic experience. Friendly, cheerful staff who can't do enough for you. Great food at really good price and small but perfectly formed range of drinks, including a hot, mulled cider tonight that really hit the spot. Well worth a visit.
