  Good food and friendly staff. Service is quick, I regularly stop in here for dinner on the way home from meetings or when I'm staying over.

  This hotel is not up to the usual De Vere standards. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The pool is OK and the sauna and steam room are what you would expect. Didn't check out the fitness suite but looks good. Didn't check out the overpriced food either. Bearing this in mind the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere and there are no restaurants within walking distance. The room is curtainless, quite basic and very dated. Remember to bring an extension lead as in our room there was only one spare socket (two if you unplug the standard lamp). This is classed as Liverpool but is a half hour drive away. Would I stay here again? Maybe if you paid me!!

  Great Staff . Gym small but adequate with treadmills & cross trainers & cycling machine & also rowing machines. There is a separate room with plenty of free dumbbell weights. There is a studio room with class activities ranging from yoga classes to high intensity classes such as boxercise . The pool is a good size with Jacuzzi & a steam & sauna room ..

  Best nights sleep ever. Restraunt and pub food reasonably priced and good quality. Breakfast nice. We didn't use the pool or gym but pictures looked good

  Visited for 4 course Sunday Carvery which was wonderful. Staff were very friendly. Food was mostly delicious and fresh. Great selection of starters and desserts, including fresh waffle making, lovely ice cream sundaes and rhubarb crumble and custard. We loved the carvery too.
