  Nice tidy looking place. Staff are all friendly. Would give the food 7 out of 10. The condiments holder they have on the tables are absolutely filthy. But other than that not a bad place.

  Food was good value for the price. A family oriented pub I especially liked the booths for children where they could watch children's programs. There was also crayons and colouring pictures.plus good children's menu.

  I ordered a steak sizzler (medium rare). There was nothing sizzling about it. The steak was over cooked and the so called sizzling peppers and onions looked like had been boiled from frozen they were watery and tasteless. I informed the waiter that it wasn’t sizzling and he told me it was due to the power cut ( which lasted less than 10secs!!!!!!) he did offer to take it back and replace it. I asked if it would come out any different next time and was told probably not.

  We had booked on the Christmas menu and really enjoyed the prawn cocktail, the turkey diner was ok other one piece of turkey on a full plate of roasts and veg, was disappointed, the turkey tasted of sausages so I don't know if the turkey was barred in sausage fat. The Christmas pudding was lovely but not a lot of custard so we asked for me and they brought a little jug. I like the Weathervane and would go again but they must look at portions.
