  Great knowledge on their products and a lovely homely feel to the shop. One of Bristol’s great independents gems.

  They sold me a £33 bottle of whiskey for £43. And a £4 cigar for £7. They were 'up-selling' whiskey to higher quality price brackets. Whether accidentally or by subterfuge I can't say for certain. And I won't speculate. Furthermore, they didn't have the actual box for the whiskey. A Teelings — which by standard comes with a box. Manufacturer confirmed. They sold it open and wrapped it in brown paper (tried to sell me a tacky looking canvas bag for extra cost). The whiskey and cigar were a present for someone. I messaged to ask if the person had collected it and despite reading the message they didn't reply. Messaged again, they read it again ... still no reply. I then asked why they had charged me for one product and provided a cheaper one ... Nothing whatsoever. Lights out. This 'quirky couple' are making a killing. A killing at the expense of a hardworking member of the public who simply wanted to treat a good friend to a birthday present. They took advantage of me. And they know it. STAY MASSIVELY CLEAR.

  Quirky, great range of liquor, excellent choice for bar staff tools, and some very different glasses at good prices. On the wonderful Christmas Steps so fully deserves the slight out of the way hike to make a visit.
