::The hotel was beautiful and surrounding grounds well kept but the facilities and service were OK at best. The staff were friendly and extremely hard working but there just didn't seem to be enough of them to provide the right level of service for the prices that are charged. E.G, I was there for a wedding and the function bar was always busy with a queue but only two girls were serving and simply couldn't keep up. Obviously no fault of their own and were clearly working hard and doing their best to keep guests happy. At breakfast the next day everything was running out and not being replaced. At the fresh juice station there were no glasses for 15 minutes despite asking staff. The milk dispenser was also frequently running out as when it did get refilled only a small amount was put in therefore causing it to run out in no time at all. We had a standard room which was fine for the rate we paid and what we expected. However another guest had a similar room at the same rate but no air-conditioning,this was also the case for the bride and groom who stayed in the suite. At the rate they paid, and at pretty much any none budget hotel that charges premium prices I would expect an air-conditioned room as standard. The breakfast was £11 or £13 if you paid on the morning. Pints at the bar were £5.50, which is all fine if you're receiving the quality and service that justifies this. All in all a beautiful hotel run on a budget but charging premium prices with limited over worked staff putting on a brave face.

::Looks very nice from the outside, room was quite small, but pleasant enough. There was a function on nearby and lots of cars driving around looking for nonexistent spaces. Unfortunately, there was weird noise that sounded off periodically in the building that kept waking us up, probably plumbing. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the staff friendly. If not for the lack of sleep would have given 4 stars.

::Review is for The Stables pub but purposely putting on here because surely on a warm evening when hotel guests are sat in the courtyard so more pressure on.the Stables bar hotel staff should support the bar.Beautiful setting food was lovely when we finally got to bar to order but a meal missed off after all that though hardly a surprise when staff under so much pressure.Need more staff!!!!

::Pleasant staff. A well proportioned room with a very comfortable....huge! bed. Nice bathroom, only gripe was no detachable shower head . I had to open the window as the radiator was red hot.. room was like a furnace all night. Dined in the restaurant which has a Mediterranean themed menu. Delicious! Equally breakfast the next morning was very good. Enjoyed my eggs Benedict.

::Sent with work so no choice but to go and can not comment on value for money. Can be a bit noisy as it is next to a busy road and quite an old building so take some ear plugs with you. Rooms are comfortable, some bigger than others. Will provide breakfast in bed at any time you require which is great as I am Flight crew and had to be up at 4 am. Has on sight pub with standard pub food so convenient to grab an evening meal and drink before bed if you so choose.
