Cost my student son £84 to get a mac with water damaged looked at, quote came back at £1500. This is £ 500 more than a new one. Took the Mac to Reading Apple store today,no charge to look at it and quoted £ 970 to repair. Customer service in Oxford Western Computer store is simply way of the standard required. We will never use this company again, both times we have used them they have delivered poor outcomes and customer service.

One of the worst costumer services I have ever experienced. I was sent here through Apple Care to fix my macbook and when I got to the store, there was no information whatsoever about my case and the employees couldn't care less. They wanted to charge £85 just the diagnostic of the problem which crazy because the problem was obvious (a stuck key). They said this would only be refunded if the computer pass the conditions to be accepted under warranty. The staff was probably the most rude, inpatient and self-righteous that I have ever encountered. I think that the only reason this company exists is because they are one of the few apple authorised resellers in Oxford. But honestly, it's not worth it, the 25 minute train ride to Reading Apple store is completely worth your time, money and sanity. I would never recommend this store to anyone.

Not a friendly place - manager did not even say hello when I came. Fixed the issue quite quickly, but next day when I came to collect my Mac the shop was closed for 1 hour, no emails informing about that, just a note on the door. Manager said "Sorry", but she did not mean it. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Even if they fix Macs OK - they do not care about customers.

I tried to get the battery in my 2012 retina MacBook Pro replaced as the "service battery" warning has appeared. Was told I need to pay £84 for a "diagnostic" even though I already know I want the battery replaced. Then they couldn't tell me how much it would actually be to replace the battery once they've completed the diagnostic or even how much the part costs. Something about different computer systems used by the techs. In short it was hand over £84, and then some £££ figure they could not name. If a garage or tradesmen did this, you would run a mile. So I did. The only saving grace was the decency of the lady at the counter who suggested that I should go to an Apple store.

Don't let these bunglers near your hardware! Just go into Reading. Took iMac in for a new disk and the display was broken during process ( staff told me was due to an asymptomatic pre-existing fault) . Thankfully Apple paid for replacement. But, 8 months later and now out of warranty the screen starts filling up with little flies (which crawled about and then helpfully died in the middle of it)! They hadn't seated the new display properly: it was visibly proud at the front, and there was schmuck trapped between glass and main body down one side. After a week of of visits to the Reading Apple store and a slightly forceful approach with the Apple helpline, Apple agreed to replace the screen for a second time.
