::I recently boarded my cat Dexter at Westra for two weeks while I was away on holiday and was very pleased with the care they provided. The report card and pictures they send you with updates are also a very nice touch. When I collected Dexter he was happy and contented and clearly enjoyed his time there and particularly liked his outdoor run where he could relax and watch the goings on on the golf course opposite. I have used several boarding centres in the past but would only use Westra in future. Thank you Westra for taking such good care of our lovely boy.

::Great for first visit in may 2017 but awful for second visit in August 2017 taken him to pentyrch kennels did e mail and complain to westra as Cody our cockapoo was smelly and dirty - really disappointed and appalled st owners not replying to email - he is now at Pentyrch kennels and they update regular ok it’s a bit further out but the difference in treatment of our cockapoo is AMAZING - would never come to Westra in Dinas again - Wendy O’Connor - Bluebells Florist Of Barry

::Couldn't recommend these guys enough, our little staff Ebony loves it there. We usually use these guys a couple of times a year but each time our girl is happy when she gets there and sometimes doesn't want to leave haha The staff are completely on top of all paperwork, we receive reminders for updating our dogs booster each time before our bookings giving us plenty of time to renew if we have to, you get reminder emails about reservations, an email straight after dropping your pet off and another after collection. You are able to speak to the staff at any point of your pets stay to put your mind at rest too. Lovely staff, can't recommend these guys enough. Keep up the good Work!

::Upon arrival I found the staff to be a little rude and the language was not appropriate. With Duke (my border terrier) being on a special diet and being on medication for his rash I had portioned his food and added his tablet for the correct day and meal, I also typed up and provided guidance notes about his food and his medication. I have felt it necessary to do this every time Duke visits kennels as I have had some issues in the past with the previous owners of Westra. The notes were appreciated by the young girl I handed them to, but there were rude comments (inappropriate launguage) made by the person checking Duke in with regards to his medication and the additional charge that goes with administering it. I was fine with the additional charge, it wasn't a secret that Duke was on tablets, and I was not hiding it in his food to avoid paying. I had made it clear on the notes I provided, however this didn't seem to be enough and I apparently had to have it explained to be a couple of times as to why there is an additional charge and the importance of animals having their medication. I obviously know this!! Having said that, Duke seemed well when I collected him and he was tired when he got home, which is always a good sign of him having enjoyed himself.

::My collie cross Jake was happy to go with staff when we arrived and staff were friendly and efficient. I was so pleased to get Jake's report card after a day or two into the holiday, which included photos of him looking relaxed with staff. We all miss our pets when we are away from them and it was reassuring to see he was happy and receiving exercise. I will definitely be using them again next year. Thank you Lisa Brana and Jake
