  We used to visit this pub regularly years ago, then the place went downhill and we favoured the Black Bull, until it changed management. Now we are thrilled that Whitakers is back on track. Friendly and helpful staff, good food and well priced. Nice real fires in winter. If you see a scotch egg for sale, do yourself a favour and buy one, best and cheapest home made ones I have had. Thanks to those running the place for restoring our enjoyment of our Tuesday trips. Dog friendly too!

  Friendly pub serving food at lunchtime. Good hand pulled beers.
