  Beer's always good and, usually, a fair selection; 4 house (Doombar, Landlord, Side Pocket & Castle Rock Harvest pale), 3 guests (usually one sub 4%, one over 5% and another in between). They do a decent sandwich too which shouldn't be difficult but seems to be beyond some chefs' capabilities; good quality bread, ditto fillings (and don't try to be too clever!). Never disappointed, been here several times and will doubtless visit again before the year's out.

  When other pubs had closed down their kitchen on a Sunday, the White Hart served food until later (and the food was amazing!). Staff is friendly, the place is cozy.

  A good, local pub. Intimate, with a limited but reasonable range of beers. Limited "craft" brews. Good sidewalk seating and a nice guarden for larger groups and kids. Food's been good when I've eaten there. One of St. Alban's finest; would be better with wider offer of more exotic beers.

  Superb range of seven real ales including three dedicated to craft brewey beers some of which are unfined.

  Best pub in St Albans. Decent food, we'll kept beer and excellent bar staff.
