  I rang the store yesterday about tiles I'd seen the day before. Conor was so helpful, checked and rang me back immediately. I tried to order them on line, but couldn't check out, so I rang the store back and Conor had the tiles on a trolly by the time I got there to purchase them. He even wheeled them to the car and put them in the boot for me. Excellent customer service.

  Bought some slates. They were delivered with a significant proportion already broken. Lots of them were an accident waiting to happen because they had already started to delaminate as well. I know they're a natural product, but that doesn't get Wickes out of any quality assurance process at all. The thickness was so variable that they would have been an absolute nightmare to lay as well. But the real fun was trying to return them. They kept on agreeing with me, so I thought all was well, until I'd waited in all Saturday and finally found out that they hadn't booked the return in at all. Then all they could do was Wednesday, when I had a kitchenful of tiles I needed to get rid of so the project could continue. And then when they did finally go back, I had to chase the refund. So I wouldn't use them for delivery again.
