For the amount of tunnels built, Its a very small place. You dont really get to see that much. The guide is very knowledgable and is able to answer most questions. I wouldnt recommend this place for people with young children as the flooring throughout is made from scaffolding and can be slippy.

Really interesting tour. Only short, took just under an hour but reasonably priced. The tour guide we had was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the history of the tunnels and had been involved first hand in the excavation. He kept us and our 4, 7 & 8 year olds captivated. Great experience, bit different to your average day out.

I visited when the centre had just opened way back, must admit it is looking a bit tired now and probably in need of a bit of investment, but the tour guides are brilliant and so enthusiastic and really proud of what they do. It's a brilliant thing to experience. Definitely recommend a visit

Finally got around to visiting this fascinating place the other day and I'm glad we did. The tour lasts about 40 minutes and is conducted by a volunteer - Billy, in our case - who is full of interesting facts and enthusiasm. The tour is not suitable if you have mobility difficulties due to the number of steps and uneven floors, but there's possibly still enough which is accessible to make it worth a visit if the local history interests you. The volunteers have done a great job here and they deserve a lot of praise for their work.
