::I hope they push this place as itβs such a delightful little railway line and the staff really help make you feel welcome. When you get off here, you can sometimes change trains and ride up to Ravenstor which is a 1 in 27 incline. There is also the Pullman Buffet Car. Make sure youβve got time to wander around a Wirksworth.

::The main railway station on the scenic Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. Steam up 1 in 27 incline to Ravenstor is not to be missed!

::One end of the line for the Ecclesbourne railway. Small ticket office. Small shop. Pleasant staff.

::Lovely line with a laid-back attitude, right down to the level crossings which the guard had to open himself! Plenty of wildlife to see from the window, and in typical Derbyshire fashion our train was held up by sheep on the line! Lovely staff and lots of nice touches at Wirksworth to keep you busy while you wait for your train. Steam running is rare, but the DMU and heritage diesels still give a pleasant and nostalgic ride. Last bonus for trainspotters is Duffield Station's proximity to the Midland Mainline - you can watch trains go by as you wait for your return journey. Highly recommended and reasonably priced!
