  Wonderful food, lovely place but very, very crowded much of the time. Dogs allowed in bar area, but few tables in bar area that can't be booked. If you have a dog, they have a chart on their website showing their busiest times, avoid it when busy.

  Beautiful bar resturant in lovely grounds plenty of parking. Dog friendly. Excellent food great service. Well worth a visit.

  We visit regularly but especially enjoyed our late lunch on Monday 26th. All our food was delicious and the service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend.

  Big, grand but casual pub. Didn't try the booze but the food was excellent. My steak pudding was delicious. Friendly service. Quiet when we went for a late weekday lunch so atmosphere was relaxed.

  Great place to be A great establishment with good food, beers, and above all friendly and helpful staff who give every impression of enjoying their jobs. Ideal end point for walks from home via the nearby woods. Only criticism is lack of paved walkway from Walkden Road - dodging cars along road. Range of seating areas, great atmosphere when busy, calming when quiet. All in all, a great place to be.
