  I have used York Supplies for the better part of 30 years and never stop being surprised at their knowledge and expertise. If they cannot help themselves they normally know where to suggest.

  Brilliant place. So lucky to live round the corner. Jon & Stewart are a mine of useful information as well as being kind, helpful, lovely people.

  This shop has everything, including an eminently friendly and handy owner who will quite happily fabricate little bits and bobs for you if you ask.

  I would say this is shop is a pearl and a gem, but that would be to denigrate the washers and bolts that it supplies. It is an adjustable spanner of a shop - one that enables you to do exactly what you need. It has heart, it has sense, it has precisely the right products. I have given it five stars but that really doesn't do justice to this store which is so brilliant it is counter-cultural.
