  The library is always closed the staff when you call use excuses about the boiler broken down and waiting for the maintenance men to deal with the boiler I just feel excuses they get payed and we go with out a library this is my local and always closed new week and same excuse for the 3rd week now

  Useually closed during weekdays by saying that heating failures and construction works and there is no parking around library.

  Very outdated! The staff are very gossipy type of individuals not concerned with what is happening right in front of them at all times. Security is nowhere to be seen considering you have young children about. The toilet facilities are filthy and no windows to allow human foul stench to disperse elsewhere. There is no seating where people can sit and study apart from one sofa type of chair which can seat about three people on it. The computers are very poor and do not allow you to do much on them and you can you use them for like an hour or two per day and that is it. The books are very limited and in poor condition and the whole place looks in a real mess which words can't describe. The manager has lot to answer for considering there was a lot money available before the serious government cutbacks. This is hardly a place where someone could come and study quietly and the opening hours are not that great. More needs to be done if it seriously wants to attract new members. Give this a place a miss if u are serious about studying!

  My local library and one of the best I've used; staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and I love using the service; the building is a pleasure to visit and stock seems well-used and well cared-for; keep up the good work, BCC!
