Centrally located library building for use by the residents of Birmingham and visitors to this great city. It shares its space with the Rep theatre and the BrassHouse language centre. It is run by the Library of Birmingham Trust.

Although Europe's largest library it's not open long enough as the old library was for me to enjoy after work which I really liked as a student I would be in there right up until 8/9pm made it easier to get resources for assignments.

Extremely spacious and well laid out. An excellent facility with a lot to offer including two open air terraces with great view over the city. There is also a cafe area in the library too.

Easily accessible to each level. Clear signposts, the reference section staff on level 4 are particularly helpful. There is a wide range of publications such as newspapers📰 going back into the 19th century. These are available on microfiche. Well worth a visit and a coffee is on the ground floor.☕

The Library in Birmingham is definitely a Library like no other, it has a massive range of books and music to borrow or read inside the actual library itself with plenty of seating available. The library has three sighting points too, there are two terraces and one big glass window on the top floor so it can also be perfect photographers. Overall I would say that it is a great place to study as there is plenty of space and floors to explore the only downside is that it is not very easy to get to especially if you don't live in Birmingham.
