  A large garden centre with a restaurant or is it a restaurant with a garden centre? Excellent wheelchair access throughout the site, apart from the apiarists supply cabin which has steps. Everything you might need for the garden from sheds to seeds although the range of seeds is limited to only two or three large suppliers. Price is what you might expect, no cheap stuff here. The restaurant is very good with a tasty, freshly prepared selection. I would think it can be very busy at peak periods.

  Can't believe the cafe here: it's a higher standard than some bona fide restaurants I've been to. Good food, decent servings, friendly staff. We've started to come up with excuses to go to the garden centre just to get lunch at the cafe : )

  Dean's Garden Centre has a recently extended cafe/restaurant which is now a very big facility. There is a good selection of food and drink ranging from breakfasts, snacks and sweets to main meals at reasonable prices. We revisited this location on a Sunday morning for 2 mini bothy breakfasts consisting of egg, baked beans, sausage, hash browns, bacon, tomato etc with white or brown toast all for just £5.99. You could have larger breakfast for double the amount of items for £7.99. Sausage and egg cooked perfectly. Although busy this was served quickly and efficiently. We will be back.

  I love, love, love Dean's garden centre and the Bothy. Lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble. Food is fresh and very tasty with a wide choice. They also extensively cater for gluten free and have an exciting range of children's food. Lovely plants and other garden items.

  I love going here and just looking around at all the lovely healthy plants. You won't find anything out of the ordinary though and it's a bit pricey. Although it's very mainstream, it has everything including equipment for gardening and all you need for feeding wildlife. The cafe is great - nice food, plenty of seating in new building but very impressive outdoor seating in little alcoves - very nice touch! Staff do their best to help with plants but most know very little. There's never anyone about when I need help putting big bags of compost or grit on my trolly but always someone there to help you get it to your car. I like that they have piles of empty boxes to transport plants home in and unwanted plant pots galore. You can get some bargains when plants are reduced too.
