  DoubleTree by Hilton. The Archimedeans Annual Dinner. The menu is quite fancy, with plenty of wine to go with. The prawn cocktail had a generous amount of prawns, mixed with loads of mayo to make it pretty rich. I am nearly full after that. The main is standard. The bread and butter pudding is not sweet at all - a quite like it this way, but people might find it bland. In contract the brownie is super rich and sweet. Overall big and satisfying dinner.

  This hotel and restaurant are more than just a large hotel in a beautiful setting. It is the warmth and kindness of the staff that make it stand out. Thank you all, so much for making my parents feel so loved on their Diamond wedding anniversary, you all went the extra mile to make it memorable, they were over the moon

  Ottima posizione, lungo il fiume Cam. Bella struttura in mattoni e tetto spiovente che richiama l'architettura originaria circostante. Ambiente caldo, ben arredato, con ampi spazi comuni dove si trova un cocktail bar e un ristorante siglato Marco Pierre White. La stanza è carina e confortevole anche se un po' piccola. Bagno spazioso (ci sarebbe anche lo spazio per un bidet ... Perché non metterlo?). Tea e coffee facilities. Il personale è professionale e molto gentile (diversi italiani, tutti simpatici!) e ottimi i cookies di benvenuto.

  Very helpful staff. Breakfast here was a very pleasant experience. They serve juice and coffee/tea when you are seated, and the dining hall was very nice. The hotel itself was very nice and the rooms felt very cozy. In some of the rooms on the third floor you can hear the constant humming of what i believe to be the AC units on the rooftop, and the temperature on the water from the sinks was always warm. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would definitely use this hotel again.

  I stayed at the DoubleTree because a friend of mine was getting married there and having the reception there as well. All of that went well and the service from the staff was good. However the price for the rooms was very high and I can't see a justification for it. The price I paid was supposedly a discounted rate for the wedding block as well but it was still three times more than the Premier Inn that I stayed in across town the night before. The room itself was not substantially better and my shower was cold despite me turning the hot water all the way up. In summary, the DoubleTree was a fine hotel but way overpriced in my opinion
