  We (me and my boyfriend) went there for weekend getaway trip. Very very nice hotel, hotel is nice and clean, service is fabulous, especially spa receptionists did their best (We booked spa and afternoon tea package via Groupon and Groupon made mistake and didn't booked for us for spa and afternoon tea). So hotel didn't received our booking, however even though they are fully booked, the receptionist lady did her best and reported it to her supervisor to make it happen for us. We do appreciated that. Overall price is a bit high but fair with the standard of the hotel, we had lovely and good time while we were staying at hotel.

  Stayed here using a Groupon voucher. Enjoyed our stay here. Staff attentive and friendly. Room was clean and well stocked. Hotel seemed to be under renovation on some floors and looking rather aged in places. Had an excellent steak dinner here but had to wait some time for it to arrive. Used the pool and sauna whilst here unfortunately the jacuzzi was closed. I would stay here again but would recommend the short stroll into town for more variety in evening meal options.

  We had a gorgeous afternoon tea here. The food was really lovely, especially the scones. Hotel is really well presented and the restaurant was spotless, as were the toilets. Staff were friendly, and didn't mind that we were held up with the traffic, so some of the party were late arriving. Would definitely return here for afternoon tea again.

  Had an absolutely lovely time here. I came for a birthday spa and dinner and it was all lovely. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and it was relaxing all throughout. There were last minute things I requested but they were all very patient. The food at bistro was delicious and filling 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 I would recommend this hotel for their treatments and amazing🙌🏾👌🏾

  This used to be the go to 5 star resort in Southampton however it has now changed to a 4 star but sometimes feels like a 3 star. It has changed ownership several times in the last 5 years. They seem to have decided to become a park and cruise hotel catering for the numerous cruise terminals in Southampton. It has lost much of its charm and character. Originally it was built and operated by De Vere hotels. There is a private health club and gym but they also cater for budget spa days and this makes the pool crowded and unusable. People on spa, days are not shown how to use the steam and sauna so frequently they leave the doors open and complain that its too hot!
