  Lovely shopping experience. Every time my wife and I come here we usually spend a fortune. Everything is so well laid out and easy to walk round. Staff are brilliant so helpful and friendly. Can't go to Southampton and not call in.

  Simply the best, in terms of UK department stores. Quality products, quality staff and the famous 'never knowingly undersold' mantra. The Soton store is well situated, anchoring the western side of West Quay shopping centre. Three floors of great stuff to tempt you. Plenty of parking and no need to get wet between the car and the store.

  I had someone out to to our home to measure for curtains between Christmas and the New Year, and we accepted the quote the first week of January. We were told a three week wait for the curtains to be made, which was acceptable. In order to make up the curtains you took the payment in full for the order. Three weeks in and it would appear that you had lost the order, and I was given a different order number. We are still waiting for the order to come into your warehouse so that we can then fix a date to get the curtains fitted. This service is really not acceptable. I would not promote it to anyone.

  I visited the store on 30/1/2017. I decided to have lunch prior to shopping - the time was 1.15pm. What a disappointment - the soup counter looked more like a soup kitchen so i decided on an omelette. On listening to the surly responses to the couple in front of me I decided on a sandwich. The counter was closed! I asked for a cheese scone and was presented with a really sorry looking specimen! I then went to Prep for a very enjoyable lunch. Tesco cafe could no doubt do better. Did I mention the male member of staff walking around the store listening to his music or whatever wearing earphones? Get a grip John Lewis, you used to be a great store but not any more.

  Every time I go into the store, I feel so light headed from the fumes of the many brands of odours and the bright, bright lights. However it is a small price to pay due to as soon as your senses have balanced out, staff are friendly and welcoming. The store itself is huge spanning across multiple floors. Including a Waitrose, Western Union and it’s normal department store is really worth the look. A few things bought from here have been faulty and even though these have been opened, there had been no problem getting a replacement (non electrical items) As what is expected!
