  Very poor today. Tried to pay some money in over the counter but greeted by a queue in excess of 30 people who were also rather annoyed. Only 1 person serving on the counter!. Many people were complaining but just told no manager on site and to speak to head office! if your going to close your smaller branches please make sure your larger ones can cope!. This branch I believe has only been open a short while.

  As I work in Southampton, unfortunately I have to use this branch. This has to be the worst branch I have used. With only one cashier open on most occasions you can be sure of a lengthy wait with the additional appalling customer service.

  Diabolical is the only way to express my experience as soon as you enter you get attacked by a member of staff . Asking what it is you require . Then after explaining I was directed to the monumental que. Their were 4 staff intercepting customers as they enter . I see what they are trying to achieve which is to use the self service machines . But these are pointless as they mostly do the same as internet banking . 98% of people going to a branch require counter staff . Can natwest not understand and see that every day the que is out the door the customers are getting frustrated and it needs sorting out . Electronic machines are not the answer old fashioned counters is what is needed . And also hythe , totton , lyndhurst branches reopened as how can a pensioner in hythe get to town on their own . Disgusting ... you make enough money from your customers . Spend it wisely your the bank .

  Opened a joint account online in Yorkshire but happened to be in Southampton to take in ID documents. First said that our proof of address was fake (we just got it from another bank...) and then said they were unable to do anything as our address was up north. Staff were not helpful and not at all polite when we asked if we could just change the address. We have to do the whole process again when we checked everything online and did it all by the book. Definitely need more staff and ones who are actually willing to help. Will be taking business elsewhere.
