Very average. Self check in with a small entrance so could barely get in the door. Room clean but bed very soft and one of the kids' mattresses on spare bed poor. Stayed in far better Premier Inns.

The location is perfect! A very easy walk from Southampton Central Station. Especially for families with young children the West Quay shopping mall is directly opposite with two food hall on the top floor with dozens of choices. There is a cinema, bowling alley and arcade on the ground floor which was brilliant when we arrived on a very rainy day! The hotel itself was very clean and presentable. Excellent facilities, television and comfortable beds (not great pillows though). The staff were super friendly and very approachable, happy to help with any enquiries or extra tea bags on standby! My only disappointment was the breakfast, just didn't feel like good value for the cost at £8.99 each (bonus was children eat for free when adult meal is purchased). Taxi to the cruise terminal was around £6 from the Premier Inn.

My wife and I stay here whenever we're taking in a show in the Mayflower. Staff, room, food and bar are all excellent. Can't wait till our next visit.

Great stay. Food was good, staff were helpful. Generally a pleasant trip. The carpark was being resurfaced and I had to park down the road in the multistory, drag my bag and a 4yo along a busy road and into the hotel, but these things need to be done.

The beds certainly are what the adverts claim! Best nights sleep for a long time. Rooms have good sound insulation as we didn't hear any fellow guest throughout our stay. Only downside is the accessible room still doesn't have a wet room. The bath and shower over it make it very hard for me to use. Breakfast was great with an excellent selection to choose from and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to all of westquay's facilities and made it a great place to stay to enjoy the city.
