  Me, my partner and our two young children come into this shop today, we were trying to do some discreet christmas shopping but our son of three years old got a little upset because we wouldn't buy the thomas toy he wanted. A female supervisor in the shop picked up on this and helped me calm our crying son by explaining to him that "if mummy and daddy bought all of the things he wanted today, then father christmas would have nothing to bring to him on christmas morning, and waiting for the things he really wants is what makes christmas special and exciting." She was really kind and sympathetic towards him, but also explained it to him the joys of christmas. She then asked me very kindly and quietly "is he allowed sweets" which i found extremely polite, because she had considered me as his parent before offering, I said "yes of course :D" and she offered him a sweet and told him to have a nice day. She was so kind and her customer service was on point. She worked todays shift and we come in around 11am. Please compliment this lady for me as she was 100% today. Definitely deserves a raise. We left feeling really positive.

  Purchased a toy tractor and hayturner and, on getting home and giving it to my grandson, I found that it was impossible to connect the two together. On looking closer, I found that the design of the hitch mechanism was incorrect. On returning to the shop to complain, I was told I could exchange it for another, but I refused this as they all had the same fault and asked for a refund. The sales assistant said they do not give refunds as it was not faulty, after agreeing that it was. Be careful to examine anything before purchasing.

  Friendly staff, always willing to help, you can bet you will find everything you could possibly need for young children/teenagers birthdays, party's or simply their gifts under one roof.... 👍🏻⭐️👍🏻⭐️👍🏻⭐️👍🏻⭐️👍🏻⭐️

  Absolutely awful. Now have £20 of vouchers I don't want all because they only exchange not refund. Only bought item 24hrs ago. Policy on website says that I can return it but in store is different. It doesn't say that online. Bunch of idiots!!! And the lack of customer service I received was atrocious!!!

  For a toy store, attracting children as the main crowd. The music is always inappropriate. I heard amongst other vile songs, a song with the swear words not censored out. I am an adult I can cope, my young son will not.The last two occasions I have been in, staff have been arguing, one even stormed off in a huff after strong words were exchanged. All in front of my family. Stock is all over the floor, making it awkward for children to navigate and risking injury. And as for the fancy dress, most outfits are overly sexualised. Not every women wants to dress as a hooker when they are looking for a fancy dress outfit for a family event. Alice in wonderland with a skirt as a belt, and stockings...really? I appreciate there is a stag and hen night crowd to cater for, plus students...but this is a family store, and other customers exist other than ones that want to get frisky on a Saturday night. That being said. One nice young man helped me find an item, another helped me to put stock that had fallen off the shelf, back on the shelf. A few months ago a lady let my son have a toy that was sold out, but the model she let us purchase. I am not writing this review to be rude, but to hopefully improve the store which is good value for money, and has the best range of toys in Southampton. As it stands now, I will have to dash in and out without my child due to the observations above. I appreciate this review may not make me popular, but at least I am honest and wanting the store to improve rather than stagnate. I am not the only parent to raise these issues.
