  We moved to a bungalow in this area two years ago & have been going for drinks & lunch at the Crown inn which is so very good. The staff are also very friendly & give you a nice welcome Lorraine & Alan Brewster.

  Had a meal here with friends. Food lovely, atmosphere good, staff lovely. Stayed the night nice room; clean and bed lovely and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep and good breakfast in the morning. Will definitely go again.

  Really good Town Pub with excellent food. Parking not great but does the job. Big building serving all the usual alcoholic beverages you would expect. Good selection of Beers, Lagers, Ciders, Spirits & Wines. More impressive is the food offering with a good menu featuring some locally sourced ingredients of good provenance. Nothing too exotic just a sensible treatment of classics. Service attentive. Toilets clean.

  I really really like this place. I'm always quite sceptical about pub rooms, I always fear they will be quite grotty, just a bit of a side line. But The Crown is very special. I had a deluxe room (No1, The Villeneuve) and it was fabulous. Wood beams and paneled bedroom with a huge 4 poster bed beautifully laid and presented with towels, slippers and a dressing gown. Everything in there you could want, a dresser, wardrobe, Krupp's drinks machine, kettle, bottled water flat screen TV over the fireplace. The bathroom was huge with duel sinks, a roll top bath, and large shower fantastically presented. There's even small stairs up to a large office space with a desk and sofa to relax on. The only very minor criticism - if I had to make one - is the room was not very sound proof, so you could hear the kitchen and pub below, but to be fair, it was quiet from 10pm and I got an blissful night's sleep. Food is a little expensive but is superb quality, and the service is to match. Breakfast in the morning is the standard continental and full English, again lovely food and polite attentive service. A wonderful experience which on this occasion was just a work visit but I will absolutely be looking to book again and come back with the wife.

  A capacious but still characterful pub in/near the centre of Bishop's Waltham. Off street parking nearby. And a well kept pint (that didn't last long)
