  Beautiful hotel. Lovely interior design, but it doesn't feel dated or run down. I was there for a conference and the staff and facilities were superb. The food was tasty, and presented nicely. My room was large and well equipped with all the extras you could need!

  My husband and myself have just enjoyed afternoon tea in the Tea Room. I can honestly say everything about the experience was fantastic. The staff were great, so pleasant and informative. Cakes to die for, sandwiches gorgeous especially the beef. It made my birthday so special. Thank you all so much. Will definitely be back.

  L'iconico Midland Hotel è il più famoso hotel di riferimento di Manchester, mescolando senza sforzo un glamour decadente con la raffinatezza del XXI secolo. L'hotel vanta una magnifica hall e 312 camere da letto.La sua posizione centrale, a due passi dal City Hall, lo rende perfetto per muoversi velocemente in città.   Fantastic hotel. Value for money is great and the service excellent. I left my passport in the room safe, realized at the airport and called the hotel. Security and Concierge got a taxi to race over and I had everything ready to catch my flight in time. I could not be more grateful!

  This is a review of the hotel's afternoon tea service. I've been twice now (once in the summer, once in the winter) and both times the service has been horrendous but the food has been brilliant! The first time I went I was told there was a wedding function on in the main afternoon tea area, but I only found this out when I arrived. Everyone who wasn't involved with the wedding was hurried upstairs to a small, back-up room for their food. Wouldn't have been so bothered if I'd been told in advance that I wouldn't be able to use the main area. The second time I was booked in for 15:30 but wasn't allowed in until just before 16:00 because they were "behind schedule". When I did finally get a seat nobody brought over a menu or asked about drinks for 15 minutes and only came over once I'd grabbed a waiter's attention. There were also no napkins on the table. I'd understand if I was eating in a fast-paced restaurant but afternoon tea isn't exactly an intense situation for staff, especially since all the food is pre-made. That being said, the food and drinks were brilliant on both occasions and once a staff member actually served our table they were nothing but helpful and very knowledgeable about the various teas on offer. I recommend the 1803, specially made for the hotel. Based on both experiences I probably wouldn't wade into battle with The Midland's afternoon tea service again but if you can stomach a delay you'll enjoy the food. When it arrives...
