Giving it a 4 star just based on the room and character and also the close proximity to the town centre. Rooms are very spacious. 4 plug sockets available, not sure if this stands for all rooms. Comfy bed, clean room. Tea, coffee. No complementary biscuits as the usual normal for hotels. Price of room £59.

Old Inn with good value rooms in a central location. Narrow stairs, uneven floors and wonky doors add to the character, but may not suit some.

Very quaint not much atmosphere when we visited on Tuesday night but lovely pub beer more than other local pubs.

This Inn has a wonderful look to it, with a great historical look to it, a traditional pub, coffee shop, and restaurant all part of the building. The staff were very friendly and the kareoke night was a lot of fun. However, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The suite that I stayed in was freezing, and with not mattress topper on the bed, the mattress itself was cold during the night. It was clear that no money had been spent on modernization of any sort in the rooms, and while the place looked good, a small scratch revealed the rather thin veneer that it was. A nice place to have dinner, and a lovely atmosphere, but I won't be staying here again.

Loved this place, very old building & rooms so don't expect the height of luxury. Having said that, the place is marvellous, great food & drink. Close to the rest of the town centre. Good prices for the rooms etc... Would recommend if you were visiting & wanted to stay somewhere with a bit of history.
