  5 star for the Staff. Top team. Definitely worth the price, well located, well managed. The hotel bar downstairs offers wide range of drinks and food also, so if its a rainy day all you have to do is get yourself to the ground floor, watch live football, at the night we were staying there was some sort of salsa classes on even. coming back soon, Thank you.

  We stayed here overnight as we were attending a dance at Elevations night club down the road and it was the closest hotel. We received a very warm welcome - lovely, friendly staff throughout the stay and very helpful. The reception is in the pub. The room was small but had everything we needed although it was quite noisy as it isn't double glazed so could hear traffic and people outside in the street. The room was quite dated but it was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities, a wardrobe, drawers, heated towel rail and hair dryer and it was nice and warm despite not being double glazed (we stayed mid-October) I would definitely stay here again if we had another event. It is in a good location, we drove and parked in the NCP car-park directly opposite - £3 for hours... the hotel is right next door to the station and is in walking distance of town. We had a lovely breakfast, there's a good choice - my BF had a full English and I had boiled egg with toast which was lovely and runny - very happy as this is the first place I've been to in ages that offer soft boiled eggs.

  Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 old school friends. Our rooms were comfortable and clean and we had plenty of space. The rooms could do with a lick of paint but this did not hinder our stay. The management were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. As a bar it was quiet and had a couple of great local characters. The hotel is convenient for the bus and train stations and has a car park opposite. It's a 5 mins walk into the city and to the docks. The food was gorgeous. We had a meal on the evening and breakfast on the day we left and it was certainly worth the money. All in all this is a budget hotel which is a brilliant base for visiting Gloucester. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again. Thank you for the brilliant hospitality and happy Mothers day. X

  We received a warm welcome here!! Clean and serviceable rooms, good food, a wide variety of gins and a hostess with loads of local knowledge. What great value!

  Very handy for the train station. Staff were extremely friendly and the locals were too. Great choice of drinks but not a posh place.
