  A truly wonderful stay. Booked a mid-week deal with my mother and one-year old son, and we were sorely tempted to extend our visit. The manor house is stunning and the attention to detail exceptional - the rustic aesthetic of the place is considered but not too kitsch. There were so many aspects to our trip that made it memorable (the animals, the garden, the grounds, the view over the Somerset countryside), but the service was something special. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. For those with children, don't be concerned - my little boy was embraced by both the staff and other guests, and he was enraptured in the surrounds with the open grassy fields and animals to chat to. The staff are warm and generous - special commendation goes to our sommelier Dan who captivated us throughout our meal with his knowledge of their impressive wine list and introducing us to memorable tastings. Sundowners at the chic bar must be enjoyed - an outstanding collection of gins and other infused spirits. For the price, I was surprised with the generous size of our room (overlooking the chickens and deer) and beautiful bathroom. Wish there was a 'room for improvement' I could call out to lend a bit of balance but I really can't - just hope to visit again!

  Always amazing and friendly. My daughter's fav place. Food excellent especially piggy bits?! The deer and pigs and chickens are great plus kitchen gardens fresh veg cocktails. Everything special. A real birthday treat

  Great experience - we just went for lunch (took advantage of their mid week and winter lunch deal which was fantastic value). Love the relaxed vibe and staff (jeans and shirt) but top and friendly service throughout. Enjoyed a pre-lunch drink in the bar room (two other rooms/lounges to pick from, including open fires and board games) before going through to the 'greenhouse/conservatory) for lunch. Love how they have potted herbs and home made and labelled infused oils etc on the tables and you're surrounded by other plants being nurtured before they get planted in the veg garden. Enjoyed views of the grounds including deer trotting around and watched the cat from another property being carried off the veg patch! Highly recommend. Next time I hope to stay over!

  Well worth the drive out. High class but not intimidating. If you're looking for local food you can't do better - the "25 mile menu" has a map on the back showing you where in Somerset each item is from. Beautiful surroundings, both the building and in the restaurant itself - lots of greenery and herbs. Service is friendly and admirably quick given the quality of the food.

  Fantastic every time! The whole setting of The Pig is just beautiful. The staff are lovely and very welcoming which make you feel very comfortable. Usually get here a little bit earlier than our reservation to enjoy a drink before our meal. The food is just yummy, the menu itself isn’t huge which sometimes I prefer but everything is always so nice.
