  The Wickham Bar and Bistro, is now permanently closed. However, The Square Cow is trading in its place...and what an astonishing place it is. Run by Dizzy and her amazingly, talented team, her famous 'quirky, decor touch', is evident throughout. She owns The Barleycorn Inn in Bishops Waltham, so those who know this establishment, will be very aware of her knack for making the ordinary...extraordinary. Set over 3 floors, The Square Cow is full of little hidden corners, amazing 'historical artwork, protected and preserved for future generations. Even the Gentlemen's toilets are a history lesson, with old copies of New Musical Express and Private Eye, festooning the walls and ceilings. Not the cheapest place, but worth the money to avoid the tracksuit wearing and twattood fraternity. Restricted menu at the moment, free WiFi, parking (paid) outside and a small patio terrace. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

  Lovely old atmospheric tavern with a hint of quirky. Real ales, variety of gins and the promise of decent pub grub

  Now the 'Square Cow' under new owners in historic village square setting. Gr8 welcome to drinkers and diners alike. Opens 6th February 2018.

  Celebrated a 60th birthday, staff were so friendly and helpful, lovely cosy place, food was great, will definitely be back.
