  I am distressed to see such a poor review of this business. I just wish it to be known that Horace Webster & Son themselves have had no connection with this business since they sold it just over 40 years ago (Sept 1976) . At that time it was a thriving concern, with an excellent reputation, highly regarded by the local community.

  During the most traumatic time for a family these funeral directors have been useless. My father had been left in the morgue for 11 days despite us being told by them that he had been picked up after 5 days. The funeral director who came was unprofessional, had a total lack of empathy for us and asked serveral times to use our phones to contact his office as he didnt have his own mobile. The flowers presented to us to choose were simply awful, they do not arrange venues or food and we felt we had been left with a list of things to arrange much longer than their list of things to arrange despite them adding a £1600 "arrangement and professional service charge". After all this unnecessary stress we cancelled and used somebody else.
