Axa Home Emergency Service and their contractor Jan18 Awful service. Devious unprofessional company who fail to provide honest information, leave you in the dark and waiting for a response that will never arrive. Will be complaining to Axa Home Emergency as they should not be using these types of contractors to provide home emergency services to families and vulnerable people who need things putting right quickly especially in winter months. Other reviews seem to point to a sinister pattern regarding how this company chooses to deal with some of its customers. Update to below - the wording used by the "engineer " to the insurance company is clearly inaccurate, misstated and for all intents and purposes designed to ensure that the repair will be deemed not covered. I can only assume, at best, that the person did not relish the prospect of a long journey back from the other side of the Midlands to complete a low value claim for a faulty fan. And this after leaving me with a clear message that the faulty fan would be ordered and a follow-up call made to fit within 2-3 days. And also from someone to whom I extended every courtesy and who left a little puddle after asking to use my toilet. Why Axa chose to use a Walsall based company when there are excellent local companies is most likely a matter of cost, but unfortunately if you pay peanuts then you get the service you pay for. Lesson learned - pay a little extra for British Gas or Homeserve , and avoid Axa Home Emergency to avoid these kinds of people and experiences.
