  Disgraceful excuse for a hotel. Does not deserve it's 3 star rating. Broken / faulty equipment. After complaining about 1st room, I was moved rooms to one not suitable and told nothing else available. 2nd Room had faults but given hotel was fully booked I had no choice than to stay in this substandard hotel and hotel room. Staff gave differing excuses. I was amazed on checking out that the check out girl said I could have been moved again despite the manager stating on the evening that the 2nd room was the last available as they were fully booked. I do not appreciate being lied to on top of everything else. Avoid this hotel at all costs. I have put in a formal complaint and am interested to see how that is dealt with, if at all?

  Night Porter was really good. I arrived very late and he was really welcoming. Building work started in another room at 8am and this woke me up.

  Room heater was noisey. Bed was comfortable. Buffet breakfast. Eggs should be freshly cooked not left on a hotplate.

  Reasonably priced hotel. Dated decor and an awful bathroom with dreadful shower from mixer taps. Good parking. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Could do with an update to room. A better bar menu would also be good...though I didn't try the restaurant as it was virtually empty and felt 'dead'.

  The communal parts of the hotel were lovely. The bar was clean and the breakfast was delicious, but could have been a bit warmer. The room we stayed in was very big but unfortunately dated and not very well cleaned. There was a thick old cobweb in the lower corner of the room by the bedside table. The bathroom was not too cramped but again, dated and unfortunately made it look a bit grubby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again as an overnight guest
