  Did you know windscreens and tyres are not covered by insurance? A cracked windscreen by a random stone cost me over £200! Been overcharged by £100 it's been a week and I still have not been refunded. Bad customer service, would not recommend.

  I was looking to hire a minibus/people carrier and Global Hire were one of the very few companies able to provide one. They were incredibly helpful through the entire process. The hire reasonably priced with unlimited mileage and the vehicle was in excellent condition and very clean. I would definitely use Global hire again in the future.

  Brilliant !! If asked for a one-word review that would be it. I booked a people carrier back in the spring to collect family from Heathrow today. Jorge (the manager) checked with me by phone a few days before that everything was in order. Then, on collection the vehicle was standing waiting for me in excellent condition and thoroughly clean. The paperwork and hand-over process was carried out carefully but quickly and all done with a smile (so important for good customer relations). The vehicle was exactly what we wanted and performed the task excellently. Well done to Jorge and the team at Global in Cambridge. See you for the next hire in January. MANY THANKS and well done. We will be recommending you to others.

  Very pleased with my van hire experience at Global Self Drive Cambridge. Very good value and no mileage restrictions. They explained everything very carefully, were pleasant throughout and my ID was dealt with quickly and efficiently. I wanted the smallest van which was unavailable but they gave me the next up, a brand new Mercedes Vita, for the same price, which was excellent customer service. I opted for insurance cover at only £16.00 to reduce the excess liability from £750 to £150 in case I caused any damage to the pristine bodywork, but they did not pressure me in any way....I enquired about it myself. Thankfully, I had no accident and my deposit was returned in full. I recommend this company for honesty, reliability and value.
