::Just had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The staff were extremely friendly. Spending time to chat. Food and restaurant were excellent. Room was clean bed comfortable. Toilet had a gadget fitted to it to wash, clean and dry yourself. Totally not needed. Shower didn't have much power. The hotel is in a beautiful setting.

::There's little to fault here and much to commend. Puzzlingly the muted public areas though hardly a persuasive showcase for 'the brand' nevertheless covey an understated charm. The established garden with sweeping views towards London adds to the relaxed ambience. However in summation, garnering polite applause rather than hearty hurrahs.

::Cosy and full of character. Very relaxing. Staff always available and very warm and welcoming. Rooms in the main house have names rather than numbers which o found very inventive and rather cute. The room was very small, but well planned. The only weird thing I found was the receptionist (very welcoming and really smiley and nice) is made to stand for the whole shift. There is no chair behind the reception desk and she confirmed that standing is the way. Unhealthy? Breakfast on the quality not quantity side, which I consider a good thing. Great for romantic breaks, not so much for a trip with kids. Updated after 2 more stays: So, it seems that I was upgraded on my first stay and that neither from the other visits resulted in the same. So I slept in a newer building which completely lacks character I described after the first visit. The rooms are just ordinary rooms and you could be in just about any hotel. There was literally no view on my second stay (obstructed by the tree that was couple of meters from the window), with view of the main ground on the third. So, if you do plan to have a romantic stay, opt for the upgrade to the main (old) house, otherwise, I would not bother to be honest. To be fair though, the bar and the staff was of course very nice, attentive and polite.

::I was a recommended photographer here for many years. It is a fantastic venue, stunning location for your wedding and photos. The grounds at the front are stunning and you have the beautiful house as your backdrop. Amazing location and staff are fabulous. A great choice of venue to have your wedding day 10/10 +++
