  I would like to say a big Thank you to my surgical team and all the staff at the Cardiff Store. My iLasek eye surgery has been a complete success - it is a truly life changing experience. I would highly recommend Optical Express Cardiff to anyone thinking of laser eye surgery .

  Very misleading! Had Laser surgery in January 2015. Was promised the world in my consultation. The procedure itself wasn't explained properly. Was told I'd go home and chill in front the TV after surgery. They didn't tell me that after surgery I'd have to keep my eyes shut till the following morning!!!! Very painful after surgery and the recovery was brutal! Couldn't get eyes wet for a month (which was not explained in consultation), had to wear swimming goggles in the shower. Have to wear protective goggles in most places for the 1st week (again, wasn't told this.) Was told in consultation full recovery after 3 days! More like 3 months! Aftercare is pointless! Every time I told them my vision wasn't great at the appointments they kept telling me it would improve. It just kept getting worse! On final aftercare appointment they actually admitted I was still short sighted but didn't recommend a 2nd surgery due to recovery time and has apparently known cases where the eyesight gets worse after a 2nd surgery!!!!!!! Wish I had spent and travelled the extra to go to a eye hospital in London.

  I've been getting glasses from here since 2005, I keep coming back because of the staff. They've changed over the years, but they maintain a great sense of friendly professionalism. Harriet and Firas today we're particularly helpful today

  I came in with a concern regarding my eyes as I'd had a bad reaction to something and wanted to ensure it wasn't serious. I was greeted by Sara who was extremely helpful, kind and was very comforting as she could tell I was in distress. She sat me down and took all my information and ensured me I would be seen that day despite being close to closing time and not being a regular customer. I was seen by Katie who was very patient with me and ensured I was comfortable and did all necessary tests to reassure me it would be okay. Katie suggested eye drops for me to use and other alternatives if I wasn't able to get a hold of them and I was in and out within 45 minutes of arriving feeling comforted and thankful. Both Sara and Katie were incredible leaving me feeling reassured and very thankful for the time and attention they'd given me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  Excellent customer service from all staff. Stephen did my contact lens trial, he made me feel at ease and showed me the best way to put my contact lenses in and take them out. He is so professional and friendly and is a credit to the team!
