::Lovely pastries. A little disappointed at the 4 for £11 cake deal, only allowed pastry slices and not tartlets (which are only 10p more...) Surely PV can extend this offer to include tartlets too? Let's offer the world a tart or two... Be generous PValerie! The world will love you more for it. The lunchtime deal was fine, a reasonable choice of mains and starters and dessert included in the price. Recommended.

::I went to this Patisserie Valerie yesterday for lunch with Friends. We were three adults and four children. We were asked to wait for a few minutes to prepare the table for us upstairs. After 20 minutes we were still waiting and when we asked it became clear that everyone had forgotten about us as the table had been ready for ages. Upstairs the service was half hazard with the Italian waiter visibility annoyed about something and swearing in Italian (I'm Italian myself). We waited for an hour for food that shouldn't have taken more than 15min to prepare and it arrived lukewarm. We had egg benedict, egg royal and toasted sandwiches! We were completely unimpressed with the service we received. The food was OK. We won't be going back again.

::If you come here, you will go back out rolling after putting tons of weight on... Everything is so delicious and tempting! I reckon this is a good alternative to Betty's, less crowded and with excellent quality products.

::Does not live up to their reputation. The friendly and pleasant staff were slow to serve due to the shop being understaffed, though the place was fairly quiet. Therefore, it appeared the staff were under pressure to carry out their duties through a gritted smile. The constant loud rattle of crockery due to the lack of staff workspace made it very difficult to enjoy our order. The coffee was perfect, however, the cakes tasted fairly average no matter how great they looked.

::I have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and the special afternoon tea here on separate occasions! Great choice available and the cakes are something special. The staff have always been friendly and the service spot on.
