  Brilliant service from Andy and Garry - Richer sounds is the only place to shop for hifi and AV gear in Edinburgh. They've got a great product range, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Two thumbs up!

  I have used Richer Sounds a couple of times to put together a good Marantz system. I recently purchased a Cambridge Audio DAC but could not get it working so I dropped into the shop on Wednesday and asked Scott for advice. I asked him if the company does call outs to people's homes and he very generously told me he could come out to my flat that night at 6.30pm after closing. He also phoned before coming to see if I had all the cables needed. Due to a setup error on my part he discovered the speaker cables were in the wrong ports. Scott took apart the whole system and put it together again - all components, DAC, Sonos bridge and turntable are now working seamlessly. I asked him to invoice me after but to my surprise he kindly declined and said it was a goodwill gesture. I'm very impressed with the service and personal touch. It is rare to get this kind of service these days. Thanks so much Scott! I will definitely be a returning customer.

  Excellent service in a small shop. Very enthusiastic staff - always willing to help. Doubt if their prices can be beaten in the city centre.

  Great hi-fi Shop, excellent service and advice, highly recommended, centre of town position, features a seat for a quick rest if your tired. Try before you buy with the demo lounge.

  Ordered a price matched speaker in store being told it would be stock transferred from another store the following week. Didn't hear anything back, when I called to see if it was in I was told no stores had any stock and to order from the manufacturer they couldn't price match. Audio visual online and superficial had the same product at £50 cheaper than richer sounds. Communication was non existent. Next time I'll order online elsewhere
